The UK's Leading IGCSE tutors in London & Online

The International GCSE (IGCSE) is a globally recognised qualification that prepares students for advanced study at A-Level, the IB Diploma, or international sixth forms. While the GCSE focuses on the UK curriculum, the IGCSE offers a broader, more analytical framework designed for students in international and independent schools.

At Elite British Admissions, our expert IGCSE tutors in London teach across all major exam boards, including Cambridge (CAIE), Edexcel International, and OxfordAQA. Lessons are adapted to each specification, ensuring students build confidence, master exam technique, and reach their highest academic potential.

Strong IGCSE results are valued by schools, universities, and employers worldwide. They reflect a student’s ability to think critically, communicate clearly, and apply knowledge independently, which are key qualities for success in fields such as Medicine, Law, Economics, and Engineering.

IGCSE Exam FAQs

The IGCSE is designed for a global audience and is often used in international schools. It places stronger emphasis on analytical skills, global perspectives, and written assessment. The GCSE is UK-based and may include more coursework. Both qualifications are equally respected by universities and employers, but the IGCSE can provide a stronger foundation for students moving into international or independent education pathways.

Most pupils start their IGCSE courses in Year 10, although many families choose to begin support in Year 9. Early preparation builds confidence, reinforces key skills, and ensures a smoother transition into more complex topics.

We teach across all major IGCSE boards, including Cambridge (CAIE), Edexcel International, and OxfordAQA. Our tutors are familiar with the distinct requirements of each specification, from coursework structures to final examination formats.

Every student receives a personalised learning plan built around their syllabus and learning style. Sessions combine targeted teaching, timed practice, mock exams, and detailed feedback to ensure continual improvement and exam readiness.

IGCSE results serve as a foundation for A-Level, IB Diploma, or international sixth form entry. They are a key benchmark for academic ability and often influence future university options, especially in competitive disciplines such as Medicine and Law.

At Elite British Admissions, we are proud to maintain a 100% success rate in helping our IGCSE and GCSE students secure a place at one of their top three sixth form choices. This consistent record reflects our structured approach, subject expertise, and personalised guidance throughout the application process. Beyond exam preparation, our tutors support students in building the academic confidence and independence that selective sixth forms value most.
